Airtel Charged 9.20 Rs. For 1 min Call to Europe

Last Night I called my Elder brother in Prague, Czech. Just a small talk of my mom with dada(marathi word for elder brother) for 6 minutes made me a charge of Rs. 55.20.

Rs. 9.20 Per min , whoa !!! it was 7.50 Rs. Earlier. What happened to Airtel ?? affect of recession ?? or what?? Theres cost cut all over world and airtel peoples are increasing the call cost.

where as cheap calling cards charges only 3.30 Rs per min. seems I need to change my service provider.

  1. It’s a very high charge dude ..
you must call their CC Service and get the tariff information.

  2. Airtel seems to be going under the threat of recession …..
Last day Airtel charged me 25INR for Airtel Friends Chat which I never activated by my own .
I tried many calls to customer care but they didn’t picked the call….
Now its time to take some action ๐Ÿ™‚
Or choose another service provider ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Airtels network is also of degrade quality … SMS takes Hrs to send and receive

  4. seling airtel charges? ehm..

  5. I recommend using voip, that will be lot better.

either use skype to skype or gtalk to gtalk

or call landlines using voip services like – tpad.com

    smartvoip.com

they will be lot cheap, and with service like tpad you can just start with a $5 recharge, and that will never expire, and also they do per second billing. But remember to check rates properly before purchasing.

I use sip service provider – smartvoip.com from fring application on my symbian device and i can call US and UK phones for free ๐Ÿ™‚
